Beyond the snapshot, a photographer seeks to capture the feelings or emotions about a subject. Photography has become a new medium of expression in art and in psychotherapy. Photographs can capture and express more than just recording a moment.
If you will look back over your personal and family photographs you will see a rich history of emotional states with a lot of data there you may never have seen.
Awareness and expression of our emotional states can be very therapeutic for anyone. Through photographs we can make statements, make art, write 'poetry' and 'music' and express a full range of our life and passions. It can also help heal from core wounds.
